The report, which have been presented by a parliamentary committee over the case of Abdikarim Qalbi Dhagax, who belong to an ONLF, an armed rebellion against the Ethiopian government.
The committee said that, extraditing Abdikarim Qalbi Dhagax was unlawful and ONLF are freedom fighters signaling war rehotric against the neighboring Ethiopia.
Somalia government extradited Abdikarim Qalbi Dhagax to Ethiopia and said that he had links with the Somali terror group, Al Shabaab. The Somali cabinet also listed ONLF as a terror organization.
Ethiopian government which is a member of African Union troop contributing countries, are fighting against the Shabab, a group affiliated to Alqaeda and ONLF rebels in Somalia and in this way lost hundreds of soldiers in the fight against the terror.
Somalia signed a peace agreement with Ethiopia in 1988. The agreement which was signed in Mogadishu by the Foreign Minister Berhanu Bahiy of Ethiopia and Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed Mohamud Farah of Somalia aimed to restore diplomatic relations, exchange prisoners of war and refrain from hostile propaganda or acts of destabilization against each other.
In that agreement both Somalia and Ethiopia closed the offices of the rebels fighting against the respective countries.
The approval of the Somali parliaments report coincides with warning against Ethiopia over the Nile river by Egyptian president Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, who for the second time in as many days, has delivered a stern warning to Ethiopia over a dam it is building after the two countries along with Sudan failed to approve a study on its potential effects.
