There were reports on Monday that he resigned his appointment with effect from Tuesday. The board approved the opening of letter of credit for the purchase of two new aircraft, to be financed by United Bank for Africa (UBA).

Members of Virgin Nigeria Board are Ibrahim, Godwin Eze-Iyamu (Vice Chairman), Jim Okeowo, Nda Isaiah (Leadership publisher), Stephen Ogedengbe, Emmanuel Jegede (NICON Managing Director, MD), and Isioma Chukwuma, (Nigeria Re MD).
