Ethiopia appoints honorary consular in Zurich
Addis Ababa, November, 27, 2014 (WIC) The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) government appointed honorary consular of Zurich to extend the diplomatic relations in Switzer land and German speaking neighboring countries.
Professor Mede Christian Beriman was appointed as honorary consular of Zurich and receive letter of his appointment during the occasion organized for Ethiopians and diplomatic communities in Geneva on November 23, 2014 at the residence of Ambassador Menelik Alemu.
Ambassador Menelik Alemu says on the occasion that Professor Mede Christian a great friend of Ethiopia for many years will further bolster the relations of Ethiopia and Switzerland in Investment, Trade, Tourism sectors and tie of two peoples.
Professor Mede Christian on his part said, he feels proud to be an honorary consular of the ancient country with diverse culture and express the commitment to work for the benefit of the two nations.
During the occasion, professor Mede introduced with Ethiopians and promised to undertake his duties in collaboration with members of Ethiopian communities and trade communities of Switzerland.
Professor Mede Christian is a renowned compatriot of Ethiopia, delivering free health and training services in Ethiopia together with other Ethiopian comrade professor Seife Haile Mariam.
