DC metro area Ethiopians gather today to remember a murder of one of their own by the DC9 night club owner and employees.
The crowd who gathered in front of the club, at Ninth and U street Washington D.C. where the murder took place was angry and asking a fare justice for the savagely murder of a 27 year old Ethiopian Immigrant Ali Ahmed Mohammed of Silver Spring, Maryland.
As the city of D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier, Ali Ahmed Mohammed was beaten to death by the co-owner of the club and four employees last Friday at 2:30 am after he tried to get in to the club and turned away by the employees he got angry and he throw a brick and broke one of the windows of the club.
A co-owner of the club and four employees chased Mohammed, caught up with him, and stomped and pummeled him on the street in front of the club, at Ninth and U streets, Lanier said. He was pronounced dead shortly afterward at a hospital.
The five people involved in the killing charged with second-degree murder. As the witness who saw the murder tells Mohammed was begging to mercy while he was beaten to death.
