OLF Changed its Mission. No More struggle for Independence from Ethiopia
OLF one of Ethiopian government opposition group that well known for its mission to get independent for Oromia region from Ethiopia released a press statement after holding a 2 days meeting in the city of Minneapolis, USA.
In this new press release OLF changed the main mission of the front that to get independent from Ethiopia but instead decided to be part of the country and willing to work with other opposition parties to overthrow the current regime and bring democratic changes to the country.
According to reports the leaders of the front said ” We used to tell the people of Oromo is not Ethiopian and this is incorrect Oromo people is a main part of Ethiopia and we accept that we are all Ethiopians and we will struggle to change the current regime.”
In the meantime another group based in Asmara, Eritrea that claiming they are the original OLF is accusing the group that held the meeting is using their name and logo.

The Oromo Liberation Front (the OLF) National Council has held its historic meeting on December 30 and 31, 2011.
The OLF National Council has examined all aspects of the Oromo peoples’ struggle; the political program of the OLF; the current conditions of the Ethiopian peoples under the dictatorship of Meles Zenewi; and the importance of working with all democratic forces in Ethiopian to end the suffering.
The OLF National Council also focused on the timely demand of working with other democratic forces in forming the new Ethiopia that will guarantee and protect the fundamental rights of all peoples in Ethiopia. The new social contract will & should be based on the free will and consent of all peoples in Ethiopia. The previous style that claims “ I know for you” should be abolished and replaced with a new vision that is based on peoples’ consent and free will.
To fulfill this vision and play crucial roles, not only for the Oromo people, but for all Ethiopian people, the OLF National Council pursuant to the power vested to it by the OLF National Congress effectively amended the OLF political program today, January 1, 2012.
The New OLF political program will accept the new federal democratic republic of Ethiopia that will work for the betterment of all of its citizens, neighboring countries and international communities.
Informing the new federal democratic republic of Ethiopia, the OLF will respect and honor all decisions the Ethiopian peoples will make using their right of self-determination.
Therefore, we call upon all Oromo political forces and others forces in Ethiopia to join us to implement this new vision.
The OLF National Council also appeals to International Community to stop supporting the dictatorship of Meles Zenewi’ s regime that has engaged in terrorizing the Ethiopian people, selling the precious resources of the country to the highest bidders, and the government that does not respect the principles of democracy, human rights and rule of law.

This is the fake OLF created my Abysinians /fake ethiopians/. It is a day dream of neftegnas. Real OLF is there with independence its objective.
As oromo, I had question for long time about our actual idenetity. Now OLF answered it. We are Ethiopian ! Now lt is the time to struggle with the rest of ethiopian people to remove Woyane.
If so why OlF delayed until today??? Can OLF come back to “ethiopia” for this safe stragle???
