Google is working to include Amharic on Android Smart Phones

One of the biggest mobile operating system by Google is working to include Ethiopic (Amharic) font on the next version of Android powered smart phones.

Google’s Android development team from New York office invited Amharic speakers and volunteers for evaluate this new product.
Sources told when this new Ethiopic font release on the next versions on Android powered smart phones later this year users can communicate and exchange messages, SMS, e-mails and web browsing in Amharic and Tigrinya languages.google-nexus-s-android-smartphone-amharic-font
Android developer team told source “We need volunteers this week to evaluate the font and give feedback to the font designers.” So if you are living in New York city and would like to support this development you can fill up the Ethiopic font study volunteer form (Click HERE) and stop by their office located at New York 76 Ninth Avenue 4th Floor New York, NY 10011.
According to the Google volunteer form it only takes 60 to 90 minutes but if necessary there will be a follow up invitation for more support.

Ethiopic (Geez ,Amharic) font is getting recognition more and more in the mobile devices and smart phones.
