Six Month Federally Funded Health IT Training programs -Free

Community College Consortia to Educate Health Information Technology Professionals in Health Care Program

The Health IT (HIT) Training Program offers both online and on-campus classes with evening and weekend classes.
If you have an interest in health care and information technology, Health IT (HIT) training program
may be the right choice for you.



MEC is the recipient of a grant received through the Department of Health and Human Services/Office of the National Coordinator
(HHS/ONC) and the Community College Consortium to launch six new programs to train workers in Health IT EHR adoption.

Under this grant, There is 71 community colleges across the nation to provide expanded Health IT training in all 50 states and D.C.
This grant affords us the ability to provide training for individuals in six workforce roles under the HITECH ARRA Act. Individuals
enrolled in these training opportunities will assist in the implementation of nationally certified EHR adoption.
