Ethiopia's Derartu Tulu who became the first Ethiopian woman to win the New York City marathon was honored at the New York Stock Exchange on Monday to ring the closing bell of the granddaddy of all stock markets. Derartu was joined by Edith Hunkeler of Switzerland, women's wheelchair winner and Mary Wittenberg, President and CEO of the New York Road Runners.
