According to the local newspaper report Ms. Birtukan Mideksa traveled to South Africa.
A leader of the opposition Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ) party and former political prisoner Birtukan Mideksa traveled yesterday morning to South Africa.
As Awramba Times reporter Ms. Birtukan will stay in South Africa for the next 3 weeks. She tells for the reporter at the Bole international airport that her travel is not connected to any political reason.
Birtukan Mideksa is one of Ethiopia's most prominent and popular opposition leaders
A lot of people still waiting for her decision on her future political life and participation in Ethiopian politics
Ms Birtukan was released from jail after 22 months of prison time as a political prisoner.
