Ethiopian man arrested in Internet sex sting
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department’s Internet sex sting operation has caught another person accused of attempting to meet someone under the age of 16 to engage in sex acts.

Ananas Berhanu Getachew
Sheriff Rick Lincoln said a 28-year-old man from Bloomington, Minn., was arrested at 12:57p.m. Thursday when he traveled into Clinton County to meet a person he thought was under the age of 16. Instead, the man met a host of police.
Ananas Berhanu Getachew is charged with one count of enticing away a minor.
The charge used to be an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison. But a change in Iowa law that went into effect July 1 now makes the charge a Class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison, if the defendant reasonably believes the “minor” is younger than 16.
